Dear Brittani, Dear Johanna,
we just arrived last night back in Switzerland, and I wanted to write and tell you how happy we were with our trip.
The sailboat and the crew were amazing. It was such a beautiful experience, and such a privilege to be able to take a sailboat up and down the Nile and visit the wonderful sites.
We were very impressed with the food, and in the end we ate all the salads and uncooked dishes because we felt we could trust the kitchen and water filter set up, and we didn’t have any issues.
The tours with Hisham were fantastic, and your Cairo partner was great as well.
Thank you for making our Egypt trip so perfect.

Expérience unique, je ne referai probablement jamais une autre roisiére sur le Nil, mais elle ne pourra jamais dépasser celle-ci. L’équipage est super sympa, la nourriture délicieuse, et les baignades dans le Nil qui rafraîchissent.

We also tremendously enjoyed a day trip sailing on a Dahabeya along the Nile with Johanna and Mohammed from Sail the Nile .
If you want to go on a Nile trip but are reluctant to go on a big cruise ship, the smaller Dahabeya might be right for you. A Dahabeya is a traditional two-masted sailing boat. Until the 1870s they were the standard for Nile cruises and over the last few years their numbers have increased again. Different from the bygone days they are towed by diesel-powered tugboats if there is no wind. And the comfortable cabins on board provide electricity too.
